They've all got it infamy
It sounds obvious, but reading the news is so much easier when the stories are well written. A finely crafted cue rolls off the tongue like a greasy egg. Hang on, that's horrible. Like honey-coated eels... OK, forget the metaphors, you get my drift.
The Radio 4 1800 bulletin is respected for the quality of its writing but every once in a while one of the team surpasses themselves. If you click on the picture you'll hear one of my favourite cues in ages, from the 6 o'clock news on 17th May 2016. The final item in the bulletin was about the putative return of the Carry On franchise.
